NO on the Public Safety Tax Increase

Much as I'd love to further impoverish urban New Orleans by voting for yet another sales tax increase ( notice the sarcasm, lol ), watching the overly-protected French Quarter and Magazine St. reap the benefits isn't feasible. Supporting NOPD and their unions is one thing- which I do.

Voting to support the selective way officers are deployed from on high is another matter entirely.

Urban voters should vote NO to a tax increase they can't afford in order to hire officers who won't be sent to our low income, high crime areas where the absence of blue ( cops ) contributes mightily to these streets running red.

I am, however, open to persuasion from honest brokers supporting the tax hike.
